Metals III – Take your jewelry to the next level with advanced fabrication and more stone setting techniques
Focusing on precision stone setting the Late Winter session of Metals III is led by Bryce Dexter and will involve some very exciting projects including pave and thread setting setting of faceted stones. Both techniques will be demonstrated and practiced extensively by each student starting with the first class. Day one will have you using a graver to cut your seats for a pave setting. Whether you are a jeweler looking to increase your spectrum of work or are a bench jeweler trying to find a job in the industry, this class will provide you the knowledge and practice to help you toward your goals.
This is a (8) week, 24 hour class. The format of this class will be different from the other offerings at Jewelryclassdc in that there will be more focus on process and technique. While you will be able to embellish your piece, the focus of this session will always be process!!! Professional Bench Jeweler/Instructor Bryce Dexter will be sharing his hard won experience as he guides you through these challenging techniques. Class size is always 12 students or fewer.
